Photos: Weekend Farmers Markets Going Strong

The Saturday and Sunday morning farmers markets are going strong, and there's still two months left in the season to check them out.

We're nearing the end of summer, but there's still a little over two months left to enjoy the weekend farmers markets in Fairfax City.

This year's markets, which take place on both Saturday and Sunday mornings downtown, have a variety of both traditional and unique vendors.

At the markets, one can find everything from the usual fresh produce and flowers, to health and beauty products, organic coffee, quality meats, juices fresh-squeezed on order, and often even a friendly crepe truck that serves up tasty treats on the spot.

And - bonus! - this Sunday, there will be a special chef demo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Read all about it in our Today in Fairfax briefs here.

The markets take place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The last weekend of the markets will be Nov. 2 and 3.

Both markets take place at the corner of West and Main streets behind the Wells Fargo Bank and adjacent to the Fairfax County Courthouse.
