City of Fairfax Police are looking into a contractor that allegedly received several large payments from a local resident to do work on his property, and then disappeared.

A resident of the 10000 block of First Street contacted police on Nov. 12 to say that, since March 17, he has made at least four large payments to a male contractor to perform work on his property, but that he hasn't been able to get a hold of the contractor for the past two months, and the work has not been completed.

Sub-contractors that the contractor hired to do portions of the work also say they haven't been paid for their work they have completed for the contractor, and have also been unable to get a hold of him.
