Arrest Made in Business Burglary

After nearly two months of investigation, an arrest has been made in the burglary of a Fairfax City business.

City of Fairfax have an arrested a man believed to have robbed a popular Fairfax City business in September.

On Nov. 7, police arrested a 51-year-old man for allegedly breaking into Performance Bicycle at 9504 Fairfax Blvd. and stealing a bicycle.

On Sept. 11 at 12:07 a.m., officers responded to the business when its security alarm was activated. They discovered a window at the front of the shop had been shattered in order to get into the store.

After an investigation, police identified a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.

On Nov. 7, they tracked the man down—who, as it turns out, lives just a few blocks from the business. They found him at home and arrested him without incident.

The man was charged with burglary and grand larceny. He was transported to the Adult Detention Center, where he was ordered held without bond.
