Police, K-9s, Helicopter Chase Suspect in Fairfax, Oakton

Police, K-9 teams and a helicopter searched for a fleeing suspect Tuesday at the boundary of Fairfax City and Oakton. The 20-year old Fairfax man was caught, arrested and charged that night. Fairfax County Police stopped a vehicle in the 9600 block of Kingsbridge Drive at 8 p.m. for a traffic violation. Scott Crampton, 20, of Fairfax allegedly fled the vehicle, inciting the search effort, said county officer Eduardo Azcarate. Fairfax City police joined in the search when they received a report of a suspicious individual on Blue Coat Drive in Mosby Woods, said Warren Carmichael of the City of Fairfax Police Department.
