Mumford & Sons Sold Out at Patriot Center, Expect Traffic
The band won an Album of the Year Grammy Award.
Expect Mumford & Sons to tie up traffic around George Mason University Wednesday and Thrusday evening. The Patriot Center will host the Grammy award-winning band's Gentlemen of the Road Tour at 8 p.m. both dates. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Mumford & Sons beat out the Black Keys, Fun and Jack White at the 2013 Grammy Awards with their Album of the Year victory. Both Patriot Center events are sold out. Motorists should anticipate a car crawl along the edges of George Mason University and long lines at the Braddock Road-Route 123 and Braddock-Patriot Circle, Braddock-Sideburn and Route 123-University Drive intersections. This was an unbelievable concert and well worth the money, but the traffic and parking situation was a nightmare. It was chaos and confusion. There was no direction given from the parking facilities to the patriot center itself. If you we're familiar with the campus there would be no issue at all except for a walk, however, anyone else be prepared.   more ›
