Dulles Rail Construction to Slow Orange Line
Expect 20 minute delays between East and West Falls Church
Metrorail riders using the Orange Line between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church stations this weekend should allow an additional 20 minutes of travel time. The Dulles Metrorail Project, which is building the new Silver Line from Falls Church to Reston, is installing cables this weekend. This installation will delay Orange Line trains. Starting at 10 p.m. tonight, and continuing through closing on Sunday night, , shuttle buses will replace Orange Line trains between these two stations. Orange Line trains will operate in two sections: between Vienna and West Falls Church at regular weekend intervals, and between East Falls Church and New Carrollton at regular weekend intervals.
