No Bomb Found at Courthouse

Hearings will be rescheduled.

UPDATE (Thursday, 6:20 a.m.): Courthouse is open for business as usual Thursday morning. Bomb squad cleared and reopened the courthouse yesterday afternoon, said Lt. Steve Elbert of Fairfax County Sheriff's office. No bomb was found. (3:17 p.m.): Judicial Drive and Page Avenue are now open to traffic. (12:56 p.m.): Chain Bridge Road is still open to traffic in front of the Judicial Center, but expect delays. Judicial drive is closed. Sgt. Joe Johnson of City of Fairfax Police Department says a bomb team is at the scene conducting an investigation. --------- Fairfax County Courthouse is closed today due to a bomb threat. Hey Kathleen. Just updated the story. Judicial Drive is closed but 123 is still open. Traffic's backed up, though. You might be able to park at City Hall and walk to Red Hot & Blue.   more ›
