Delivery Man Punches Would-Be Robber, Escapes

The attempted robbery took place on Lyndhurst Drive last week.

Police are on the hunt for a male who attempted to rob a pizza delivery driver in Fairfax last week. The delivery man told police that the unknown male approached him as he was in the parking lot in the 3900 block of Lyndhurst Drive shortly before 6 p.m. Feb. 7, according to the City of Fairfax Police Department. The stranger demanded money. Instead of giving the male the money he had just received from a recent delivery, the victim punched the stranger, knocking him to the ground, police said. A knife fell out of the stranger's hand.
