Julio Ruiz was charged with assault and battery.
Police arrested Julio Ruiz, 45, of Mosby Woods Drive for allegedly assaulting a neighbor while walking on a wooded path behind the condo complex on Mosby Woods Drive on Dec. 8. The victim, a 31-year-old Mosby Woods Drive resident, was walking at 7:52 p.m. when Ruiz allegedly accosted and grabbed her. Ruiz was arrested, charged with assault and battery and taken to the Adult Detention Center where he was released on personal recognizance by a magistrate, according to Fairfax police spokesperson Warren Carmichael. Both victim and suspect lived in the same condo complex and knew each other before the attack. UPDATE (April 18): Connect2Mason.com reports that the suspect punched a female Chick-fil-A employee in the face Tuesday morning. He also tried to take a bag of cash receipts the woman was carrying to deposit at a bank in the Johnson Center. Somehow he was only able to steal the woman's cellphone. The attack occurred near Harris Theatre, according to Mason police. Read the full story here.
