Rock the Block Kicks Off Friday with Gonzo's Nose

City's free summer concert series celebrates #TGIFairfax.

Get ready to leave the long week behind you this Friday, as the City of Fairfax kicks off its free summer concert series, Rock the Block, with Gonzo's Nose.

The block party will be held on University Drive downtown, with a band performing covering a variety of hits from the '70s to today.

There will also be food vendors, beer and games.

Party band Gonzo's Nose formed in 1996 by four musicians from the College of William and Mary. Their cover songs range from the early '80s to today's hits.

Rock the Block will return Aug. 22 and Sept. 26.
