Called the "Metropolitan Art Project," the pop-up gallery will operate out of the space at 10409 Main Street for six weeks, with each week featuring a new exhibit.

"The opening will include a diverse group of artists, and rotate, so there can be a fresh opening weekly," said Robert Golden, real estate agent with the Dickson Company, who, along with the building's owner, Rick Dickson, leased the space to a group of people who created the project.

The first exhibit to be shown is called "Catalyst."
