This Week: New All-Natural Grocery Store Opening at Fair Lakes

The store specializes in locally-sourced, organic groceries and fresh foods.

A new organic, all-natural grocery store at Fair Lakes in Fairfax will be holding its public grand opening this Thursday.

Mrs. Green's All-Natural Market will open its doors with a big celebration this Thursday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m.

With this, the company's first D.C. Metro-area store, Mrs. Green's will bring its signature "all-natural, all-organic, health, and locally-sourced Virginia foods to consumers."

"Mrs. Green's passionately believes in healthy families and a healthy planet, and being a neighborhood partner and contributor to our community, and is always deeply committed to sustainability and good things for the Earth. Green is good!" company representatives said in a press release about the Fair Lakes store's grand opening.

From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the public is invited to enjoy "free, delicious tastings and samplings," live music and entertainment, special guest "green characters," giveaways, kids' activities and more. There will also be a ribbon cutting with members of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce.

Proceeds from sales during the grand opening event will be donated to the organizations Food For Others and Life With Cancer of Fairfax.
