Thanksgiving Day Church Service. Before your feast and football games, bring your family, kids, and friends to a Thanksgiving Day church service featuring Bible readings, music, and people's stories of gratitude and healing. Celebrate the Holiday Weekend With 'The Nutcracker.' Company dancers, along with students from the Russell School of Ballet and special guest artists from the Louisville Ballet, will entertain the local community Thanksgiving weekend with Fairfax Ballet's traditional annual performance of The Nutcracker. Joan Bedinger Auditorium, W.T. These Stories Will Make You Feel Better About Your Family. What's one way to help keep you from wanting to kill your family this Thanksgiving? Listening to stories of other families that are much crazier than yours. The "Better Said Than Done" storytelling troupe will be making a special trip to The Auld Shebeen Irish pub in Old Town Fairfax for a hilarious show of "legendary tall tales" about crazy families, to help forget about your own for a while.
