This Week: Fairfax Water Public Hearing, Santa at the Library, Job Fair and More

Annual Children's Christmas Puppet ShowStart your week off with a holiday smile. Bring the kids to this beloved free children's holiday show at Old Town Hall, at the corner of Main Street and University Drive, in Fairfax City. Come early to snag a seat. This Monday, Dec. 16, 10:30 a.m.

Fairfax Water Public Hearing. 
City of Fairfax water service will transition from the City of Fairfax Utilities Department to Fairfax Water on Jan. 3. Current water rates will remain unchanged for City customers, but Fairfax Water is required to hold a public hearing and take action to establish the water rates and enable billing for City of Fairfax water customers. The public hearing will be held this Thursday, Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairfax Water headquarters, 8570 Executive Park Ave. in Fairfax. Though no action is required by City water customers, who will see no change in water service or rates after the transition, all are welcome to attend the public hearing. Last Chance to Drop Off Toys For Tots Donations. This Thursday is the end of the City of Fairfax's Toys for Tots drive. Drop off donations of new, unwrapped toys to one of three locations by Thursday: Fire Station 3, 4081 University Dr.; Fire Station 33, 10101 Fairfax Blvd.; and the Code Administration Office, Room 208, City Hall Annex, 10455 Armstrong St.  For more information, call 703-385-7940.   

Mrs. Green's Job Fair
Mrs. Green's Natural Market will soon be expanding its Fair Lakes location, and is hiring for all positions. If you're an "energetic food lover" looking for a job, come to a Mrs. Green's job fair this Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Residence Inn Marriott, 12815 Fair Lakes Parkway, Fairfax. A Visit From Santa at the LibraryThe MOMS Club of Fairfax-West (Moms Offering Moms Support) will be welcoming a very special guest for its December meeting this week—Santa Claus himself! Bring your own camera and get a photo for your child. The club welcomes stay-at-home moms living in the 22030, 22031, 22032 and 22033 zip codes as members. This Wednesday, Dec. 18, 10:30-11:30 a.m. City of Fairfax Regional Library, meeting room A/B, 10360 North St. RSVP to the Facebook event page here.

Come Home to BethlehemBring the whole family to enjoy an interactive experience, depicting the very first Christmas night. See the angels. Talk with the shepherds. Best of all, look into the stable and see Mary, Joseph and the baby. Presented by the Church of the Apostles. Free.
