Local Resident Given Award by Leadership Fairfax

She will receive her award in special luncheon on Nov. 7.

Local resident Lynn Tadlock has been selected as the recipient of this year's Trustee Award from Leadership Fairfax.

Tadlock serves as the chairman of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia and the deputy executive director of the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation.

Each year, Leadership Fairfax uses this award to recognize a person "who has demonstrated strong visionary leadership throughout Northern Virginia and has embraced new opportunities while taking innovative approaches to form successful partnerships and deliver results," the organization said.

"Tadlock’s distinguished initiatives have offered leadership lessons not only within individual organizations, but also across the broader public sector, positively affecting the Northern Virginia community at large," said representatives from Leadership Fairfax.

"Lynn has exhibited tremendous leadership for the Community Foundation, contributing to the significant impact we provide in the Northern Virginia community," said Eileen Ellsworth, president of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia. "We are very proud she has been selected for this prestigious award."

Tadlock will be presented with her award at the 17th Annual Northern Virginia Leadership Awards Luncheon on Nov. 7 at the Westwood Country Club in Vienna.
