5K Held to Honor Memory of Local Athlete

Friends and family started a non profit to help the community.

Adam's Angels will host their first ever 5K run to honor the memory of a high school graduate who collapsed and died while training with his new college team.

Adam Patrick Seymour, a 2010 graduate of Robinson High School and incoming freshman at Lynchburg college, collapsed while competing in a pre-season training run with the college’s soccer team in August. He died three days later.

His friends and family started a non profit, the Adam P. Seymour Foundation, to raise scholarship money for graduating seniors, to provide assistance and support for congenital heart defect (CHD) and sudden cardiac arrest research, and to promote AED education, awareness and placement.
