Be Your Own Life Coach Series: the Butterfly; Choose to Transform

Butterflies are so beautiful, but they don’t begin that way. In fact, they start as a grub that is not at all attractive or productive. As they go through this process called metamorphosis, they transform from a caterpillar to a gorgeous monarch. Other things in nature change as well, so that should give us, humans with sophisticated minds, hope that we can also. Making the decision to choose to transform however, is the first step. You are intentional in your mind. Once you have made the choice to change in any category of life, the resources to make that dream possible begin to manifest.

Some would say that this works for other decisions like choosing a career or losing weight, but not for having a healthy dating relationship or other long term relationship, especially if you have been hurt repeatedly. Have you ever felt this way? More importantly, have you ever been this person? I know it may be hard to fathom, but considering that a loving dating partner exists for you is crucial in you ever finding this person. If you can believe this is true, what does this make possible? Could it mean that in the manner you commit to making any other decision, you could decide to be transformed in your dating relationships and find ‘Mr./Miss Right like the analogy of the butterfly? With this view, the dating partner you are imagining that will support you in becoming the best you could be in your very presence or not too far off in the distant future.

All it takes is the decision to be like the butterfly and choose to transform what you say is possible in a dating partner. When you do, you may be surprised and delighted how all of this will unfold.
