Spencer Macleod Throws, Runs His Way to Athlete of the Week Honors

Quarterback leads Rebels to second straight win

After Fairfax Head Coach Kevin Simonds implored his team to "dominate" the second half, quarterback Spencer Macleod took the game over.

Macleod dominated the second half with his arm and legs, as his Fairfax Rebels beat the Stuart Raiders, 35-21.

The Rebels got some breathing room in the third quarter when Anton Burns recovered a fumble by teammate Marcus Bailey and took it the remaining 15 yards to the endzone. Macleod's successful run on the two-point conversion game his team a comfortable 13-point lead. His 56-yard touchdown pass to Austin Perryman essentially put the game away.

Fairfax is now 2-1 and hosts Langley next week for homecoming when they'll also be celebrating the school's 75th anniversary.
