The Fairfax Rebels remained undefeated with a 6-0 victory against Washington-Lee at Fairfax High School. The Rebels pushed their record to 4-0 while Mac Anderson, Shelby Allen and the Rebels defense remained unscored upon.

Early in the game there was a lot of back and forth before the Rebels took control and started pressing the Generals' goal. Fairfax broke through on a penalty corner when senior captain Sam Zelenack received a pass in the circle from junior midfielder Sara Allen and beat the goalie to the far post. The second goal came when senior midfielder Amanda Blackwell took a pass from junior midfielder Jessica Bachelder and dribbled into the circle to fire a shot past the goalie. A few minutes later it was Blackwell again dribbling into the circle but this time finding senior captain Shannon Cosgrove who turned and put the ball in the goal.

Fairfax extended their lead to 4-0 when junior forward Emily Freeman attacked down the right side of the field and crossed the ball to Jessica Bachelder, who beat the goalie for her first varsity goal. The Rebels closed out their first half scoring on a penalty corner when Cosgrove found Freeman on the far post.

The team added one second-half goal for the final tally on a penalty corner when Sara Allen rifled a shot toward the goal and sophomore forward Charlotte Duke deflected the shot past the goalie to tally her first varsity goal.

The shutout and the possession advantage for the Rebels were maintained due to outstanding play from senior Katie Rossbach on defense and senior Nikki Strickland in the midfield.
