The Mason Inn Hotel and Conference Center, which closed in , is selling its high-end hotel furnishings through an online auction.

More than 1,500 items are included in the auction, including televisions, beds, sleeper sofas, exercise equipment, lobby furniture and more. All items are less than five years old.

Inventory from the Mason Inn Hotel and Conference Center is available for inspection from noon - 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 at the Conference Center, on-site at 4352 Mason Pond Drive in Fairfax.

Auctions start to close dynamically at 1:07 p.m. Thursday, June 19. Details, terms and conditions and more information is available through Rasmus.com, which is hosting the auction.

With demand increasing for student housing and the conference center running in the red, George Mason University announced in November 2013 it would close to hotel and conference center. It may be turned into student housing.
