Celebrates Band Tag Day

Saturday September 8th, 2012

FAIRFAX, VA Be ready!  On Saturday, September 8, 2012 between 9 a.m. and 4:00 pm all members of the Fairfax High School Wind Ensemble, Symphonic, Concert, and Marching Bands together with the Color Guard and Percussion Ensemble will be dressed in full uniform, ready to ring your doorbell for their annual Tag Day Fundraiser. These talented local teens need your help and generous support!  

These Band Members from Fairfax High School are asking for your generous donations to assist in meeting the Band Program needs for the 2012 to 2013 academic year.  Your contribution to the Fairfax High School Band Boosters will assist in purchasing music, repairing and replacing band instruments and equipment, transportation to performances and competitions as well as to maintain high quality educational Band Program. 

Fairfax High School Bands, under the direction of Mr. Alan Johnson, assisted by Mr. Matt Baker, consists of approximately 200 students in several ensembles, including the Marching Rebels, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Color Guard, and Percussion Ensemble. Fairfax City can be very proud of the consistent achievements of the Fairfax High School Bands.  

As always, Fairfax residents are cordially invited to attend any and all of our Fairfax High School Band Concerts and to come hear us play at one of our parades.  Check our calendar at http://www.fhsbands.org or keep an eye on the marquis on Old Lee Highway for concert dates.  All Fairfax High School Concerts are FREE and in the Fairfax High School Auditorium.
