Cheer On the Fairfax Rebels This Friday at Homecoming Events

A host of activities are scheduled for this Friday, Fairfax High's Homecoming day.

The Rebels will be the guests of honor this Friday as a day full of spirited Homecoming events kick off at 1 p.m.

The day kicks off with a Pep Rally at the school at 1 p.m. - though, the fun starts even earlier than that as members of the Marching Rebels will be marching the halls all morning getting students riled up for the day's festivities.

Then, wave hello to the Rebels as they march down Old Lee Highway all the way back to the school parking lot in the Homecoming Parade at 4 p.m.

And, whether you're a football fan or not - who doesn't love a good Tailgate Party? School officials say this year's tailgate party will include food, drinks, music and games like the dunk tank.

It all leads up to the Homecoming Game at 7:30 p.m., in which the Rebels take on the Thomas Jefferson Colonials. Just before the game, fans are treated to a pre-game show by the Marching Rebels, performing their field show "Enlightening" as well as the National Anthem, beginning at 7 p.m.

Of course, Homecoming wouldn't be Homecoming without the dance, which takes place on Saturday from 8-11 p.m. at the school.
