'Celebration of Life' to be Held for Woodson Student Ethan Griffith

Family suggests donations for suicide prevention.

The family of Ethan Griffith, the W.T. Woodson High School student who died unexpectedly Tuesday, is inviting the community to an event Sunday to celebrate the teenager's life.

The event is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the gym and social hall at Providence Presbyterian Church in Fairfax. The notice was sent by Woodson High School at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family suggests that you consider making a donation to the Josh Anderson Foundation. The Josh Anderson Foundation’s mission is to provide teenagers with mental health education, resources and support so that they will never turn to suicide.
