Several Lane Closures Tuesday in Fairfax

Road work should be wrapped up for afternoon commute.

Construction and utility work will be impacting several Fairfax City streets today. 

Here's a rundown, from the City of Fairfax:

Main St/Pickett Rd Lane Closures
Tues 3/11 9AM-3PM Arthur Construction will close;

  • One of two left turn lanes on southbound Pickett Rd at Main St/Rt 236
  • Left lane of eastbound Main St/Rt 236 at Pickett Rd
  • Left lane of westbound Main St/Rt 236 at Pickett Rd
  • Left turn lane from westbound Main St/Rt 236 to southbound Pickett Rd
Fairfax Blvd Lane Closure
Tues 3/11 9AM-3PM, Arthur Construction will close one lane on eastbound Rt 50 just east of Rebel Run for asphalt repairs.  Two lanes will remain open to traffic.

Lane Closure At Fairfax Cir (rescheduled)
Tues 3/11, work scheduled for 9AM-3PM on southbound Rt 29/westbound Rt 50 at Fairfax Cir has been cancelled and rescheduled for Wed 3/12.

Chain Bridge Rd Lane Closure
Tues 3/11 9AM-3PM, northbound Chain Bridge Rd/Rt 123 will be reduced to one lane from Fairfax Blvd to Eaton Pl by Verizon for utility work.
