Rep. Moran Drops Off Laptop Computers at Clermont Elementary

The computers were presented to the school by Moran, donated by federal agencies no longer using them.

At the Clermont Elementary School PTA meeting Tuesday night, Congressman Jim Moran presented Principal Janet Molan with two of 50 laptops the school will receive from federal agencies as part of the Computers for Learning Program.

“Providing a quality education is one of the most important ways we can ensure our economic growth and success for future generations," Moran said. "With these 50 new laptops, Clermont Elementary can ensure their students have access to a key learning tool for educational growth."

The Computers for Learning Program was established under an Executive Order by President Bill Clinton. The program encourages federal agencies, to the extent permitted by law, to transfer computers and related peripheral equipment excess directly to schools and educational nonprofit organizations.
