On the Agenda: WMATA Talks, Stormwater Costs, Pizzeria Delivery

  • Hear public comments on whether to raise a tax on hotels and other establishments that offer rented guest rooms. The tax would be raised from 4 percent to 6.
  • Discuss the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority's $5 billion, six-year "rebuilding Metro" plan with WMATA representatives. WMATA is looking for communities who are interested in enhanced Metro service.
  • Examine new stormwater regulations required in the next year. These regulations could mean increased costs in the fiscal year 2014 budget.
  • Hear public comments on whether to allow Antonio's New York Pizzeria to provide delivery service at its Old Lee Plaza location.
