On the Agenda: Public Hearing for Bus Lot at Pickett Tank Farm

What's on tonight's council meeting agenda?

Tonight's your chance to speak out for or against the proposed bus lot planned for the Pickett Road tank farm.

Fairfax City is in the process of purchasing space at the Motiva tank farm to house 50 Fairfax County Public Schools buses. The buses currently sit next to residences at Eleven Oaks.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m., but council members won't reach the bus lot topic until the end of the council meeting.

Council members will also discuss whether to...

  • Spend proffer funds on an Ashby Pond trail, community garden, strategic master plan, and new surface for Kutner tennis courts.
  • Work with Virginia Department of Transportation on designing a new traffic signal and sidewalk at Fairfax Boulevard and Draper Drive. They'll also discuss a proposed University Drive sidewalk.
  • Allow a home child care facility on Jermantown Road.
  • Allow Donatos Pizza to deliver pizza to its customers. This will need a special use permit
