Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) is an advisory group to City of Fairfax city council. As such, PRAB is responsible for the study and recommendation to city council of a well-rounded park and recreation program.

PRAB ensures adequate coordination of all matters affecting policy of joint community use of schools with the school board in accordance with agreements between the city council and the school board. The board is advisory in nature only and has no authority for operations.

In rendering advice or making recommendations to city council as to program, acquisition or development, the board gives consideration to implementation and financing in coordination with the Parks and Recreation Department.
