District 34: Who is Funding Culipher's Campaign?

A quick look at campaign contributors.

Republican Gerarda Culipher, the candidate looking to replace current state Senator and Democrat  on the 34th District in November, raised $42,854 in political contributions this year, according to the Virginia Public Access Project.

VPAP, which maintains an election finance database, says one of her biggest contributors is Culipher herself, giving $2,370 to her own campaign. She's also drawn the attention of veteran contributors Marianne Horinko, Christopher Walker and Peter Fitzgerald.

Most of Culipher's contributions came in small amounts from first-time political donors. Those that gave the most have a track record of giving financial support to Republican candidates, including Ken Cuccinelli, Spike Williams and James LeMunyon.
