Woman Fondled Outside of Marshalls

The suspect claimed he was a security officer.

Police are searching for a man who fondled a woman outside Marshalls on March 23.

A 41-year-old Annandale woman had just left Marshalls at around 3:24 p.m. when a man posing as a security officer aproached her, according to Fairfax City Police. The man, who the suspect didn't recognize, reached into her parked vehicle and fondled her torso. He ran away when she threatened to call police.

The victim described him as light-skinned, thin and about 5-feet, 7-inches in height.

This is the third area sexual assault in two weeks. A 24-year-old woman was  on March 14. A week later a 16-year-old W.T. Woodson High School student was  near Frost Middle School.

Police are investigating the possibility that these crimes could be connected, according to Warren Carmichael of the City of Fairfax Police Department
