Woman Allegedly Kicks Cops, Cruiser

The latest in Fairfax City crime news.

Police officers stopped a bus Tuesday afternoon to collect a woman who allegedly hit a man in the face near the City of Fairfax Regional Library.

Officers responded to a call at 4:40 p.m. from a 37-year-old man who claimed the suspect, Jeanne Pearson, 54, of no fixed address, struck him in the face, according to the City of Fairfax Police Department. She boarded a bus, one that police stopped in order to take her into custody.

As officers transported her to the Adult Detention Center, Pearson allegedly kicked two police officers and a police cruiser window assembly. The officers did not need medical treatment.

She was charged with assault on a police officer, destruction of property and drunk in public.
