The driver was a 21-year-old man from Hughesville, Maryland.

A man who drove his car through the entrance to the Farrcroft neighborhood in Fairfax City recently was arrested.

Fairfax City police received the call of the accident at around 2:05 a.m. early Saturday, Sept. 29. When officers responded to the scene, the driver was nowhere to be seen.

Officers soon located the man on foot nearby - though he was not very cooperative.

Coulter said the driver - a 21-year-old man from Hughesville, Maryland - was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing to submit to a breath or blood test, and hit-and-run.

The man was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where his bond was set at $2,500.
