Stolen Bike Returned for Repairs

Bike shop recognizes smooth ride — it was taken from the rack in December, according to Fairfax City Police.

Employees at Performance Bicycle in Fairfax had a surprise bike brought in for repairs: one that had been stolen from the shop back in December.

Cruz Artiaga Portillo, 27, of the 9000 block of Lee Highway, was charged with possession of stolen property.

The bike was brought into the Performance shop on Saturday afternoon, according to Fairfax City Police.
