Fairfax City fire officials said they put out a small fire in an electrical closet at the Fairfax City Office Tuesday night.
Fairfax City Fire Chief Dave Rohr said the fire was contained within an electrical closet, though smoke filtered throughout the building. Firefighters responded to the event at around 10:30 p.m. They remained at the building's Fairfax Boulevard address for about 45-60 minutes to put out the fire and secure the office.
There were no injuries. The fire did not cause customers to lose power.
