Public's Help Sought in Vanessa Pham Whodunnit

A tip could net you $21,000.

It's been one year since Vanessa Pham was found dead in her car. Police are still seeking information that could solve this local whodunnit.

Video surveillance places 19-year-old Pham's 2008 two-door Toyota in the Fairfax Plaza Shopping Center just before she died. Officers have asked the public to pay special attention to when her car lingers before exiting the parking lot. They hope the drivers of the cars lined up behind Pham, waiting for her to leave the shopping center, and those entering the center from Gallows Road, can help identify her murderer.

Her Toyota was found around 3:30 p.m., 30 minutes after she left the shopping center, in a ditch off the south side of Arlington Boulevard and Williams Drive. She was dead inside, having suffered trauma wounds to her upper body that seemed out of place in a car crash.
