Police Suspects Order Off the Menu, Kick Cars, Punch Drive-Thru Workers

Fairfax City Police responded to more vandalism, car-kicking and restaurant antics this week. Read on for the details.

  • Someone(s) stole the tires and rims off a vehicle parked on the 3900 block of Wilcoxson Drive between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. The crime comes a day after suspects in a Wilcoxson Drive larceny.
  • A manager at Yen Cheng restaurant on Main Street called police after several annoying phone conversations with a potential customer. The man reportedly called the Yen Cheng Monday evening, requesting food that wasn't on the menu. Then he called again. And again.
  • Fairfax County Facilities Management Office on Burke Station Road became the latest vandalism victim Monday night. Unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on an outside wall of the building between 7 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Last week, several buildings and signs .
  • A drive-thru miscommunication led to assault Tuesday afternoon at the Wendy's on Jermantown Road. The manager told police that he had trouble communicating with a customer who was placing an order through the drive-thru intercom. He walked outside to speak with the customer. The irate customer became angrier and tried to stike the manager in the face, but hit him in the stomach instead. He didn't need medical assistance. The suspect left before police arrived.
  • Western Pest Control called police after an unknown person(s) kicked a vehicle in the business' Main Street parking lot between 6 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
  • Police are looking for those who stole a gym bag from the men's locker room at World Gym. The crime occurred sometime between noon Saturday and just after noon on Tuesday.
