Police: Stolen Vehicle Towed to Fairfax Lot, Belongings Missing from Bushes

This week's crime news.

This week's Fairfax City crime news includes:

  • Stolen Vehicle Recovered, Accurate Towing on Lee Hwy.: A storage lot owner notified police on July 25 after he discovered the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer towed there was stolen from Washington, D.C. Fairfax City police are working with the Metropolitan Police Department on this case.
  • Larceny, 10300 Block of Wood Rd.: A woman received a confusing phone call from her bank earlier this month. The bank told her that she was late on a loan payment. She contacted police on July 19 saying that even though she has multiple accounts at this bank she does not have any outstanding loans. Police are investigating.
  • Larceny, 10000 Block of Farr Oak Pl.: Someone(s) stole a white mountain bike from an open garage on Farr Oak Place between 4:30-5 p.m. on July 24. 
  • Larceny, 10000 Block of Byrd Dr.: Someone(s) stole an iPhone left out on a brick ledge on Byrd Drive sometime between 11 p.m. on July 4 and 11 a.m. on July 5.
