Police Search for Stolen Laptops, Liquor

Fairfax City police activity from September 13-14.

Fairfax City police are on the hunt for laptops and liquor and those that stole them this week. Here are the details:

A man was packing items into his vehicle at a Bed Bath and Beyond parking lot Monday night when he forgot his laptop, leaving it behind. When he got home he realized his mistake and drove back to Fair City Mall, only to find it missing. He notified police the next day.

A Leonard Drive man reported that someone had scratched the right side of his parked vehicle with a key sometime after 3 p.m. on Monday.

Police are looking for a man in his early thirties who fled the ABC store on Willard Way with a bottle of liquor Monday afternoon. Described as standing five feet four inches tall and wearing a light orange shirt, khaki pants and brown shoes, the suspect was later found behind the store, but ran when confronted.

Fairfax's Criminal Investigations Division is looking for those who stole two laptop computers, a television, two passports, a telephone and a bottle of liquor from a Fairfax Square Apartment Tuesday night. A resident contacted police after noticing the open apartment door.
