An 18-year-old Centerville man is facing several charges after an uncooperative interview with a Fairfax City Police officer who stopped the young man under suspicion that he was intoxicated.

Mars Jolo Jones, 18, of the 6000 block of Honnicut Drive, is charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, providing false identification to law enforcement and drunk in public.

At 11:55 p.m. Friday, the officer was on patrol when he spotted Jones at 10030 Fairfax Boulevard, according to a Fairfax City Police release.

Jones reportedly was uncooperative, resisted arrest and repeatedly provided false identifying information, according to police.

He is being held without bond.
