Police: Employee Accused of Stealing iPad at Fairfax Car Lot

An employee at a local car dealership is facing charges after allegedly stealing an iPad off a table at the car lot last weekend, according to Fairfax City Police.

Rene Daniel Nunez Velasco, 27, of 6301 Buffie Court, Burke, was charged with grand larceny.

Officers responded to Jim McKay Chevrolet Used Cars at 10460 Fairfax Boulevard near 6 p.m. Saturday.

The victim told police that an iPad which he had briefly left on an outdoor table had been stolen. Investigators determined Velasco had taken the device, according to Fairfax Police. He was located in the area.
