Police: Burke Man Arrested for Alleged Indecent Exposure, Woman Assaulted at Shoppers

Latest crime news:

  • Assault, Shoppers Food Warehouse Parking Lot: A 25-year-old McLean woman told police that an unknown male hit her vehicle several times with a cane and grabbed her arm at around 6:20 p.m. on Nov. 28. The man then walked away, only to return and curse at her before leaving in his own vehicle. The city's patrol division is investigating.
  • Larceny, 4000 Block of Poplar Street: Someone(s) stole copper grounding wire from two Dominion Virginia power poles sometime after 8 a.m. on Dec. 3. 
  • Indecent Exposure, Starbucks: William McCool, 49, of Burke was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to a 29-year-old woman while sitting at an outdoor Starbucks table on Dec. 4. He was trasported to the Adult Detention Center and held on $1,500 bond.
