Police Blotter: Aug. 29

The following arrest information was supplied by the City of Fairfax Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Vandalism

  • Aug. 26, 6:52 a.m. A vehicle owner reported that someone had broken a window of his car sometime after 8 p.m. on Aug. 25. The car was located on the 4100 block of Berritt Street. 
  • Aug. 26, 5:37 p.m. A resident of the 4100 block of Berritt Street reported that a window had been broken on his son's parked vehicle by an unknown person.
  • Aug. 26, 1:20 p.m. A firefighters union representative reported that someone had damaged a window screen at the Firefighters Union Office at 10500 Sager Ave. sometime after 5 p.m. on Aug. 23.
  • Aug. 26, 4:10 p.m. A patrol officer reported the presence of graffiti on the walls of the Fairfax Museum Parking Garage, located at 10209 Main St.

Larceny

  • Aug. 27, 3:42 p.m. A doctor reported five pairs of glasses had been stolen from his display at the Offices of Dr. Glenn Waldron, Optometrist, 10721 Main St., sometime between 6 p.m. Aug. 15 and 8 a.m. Aug. 16.
  • Aug. 26, 4:30 p.m. A man left his wallet on a counter at 3250 Old Lee Highway after paying for merchandise. When he returned, the wallet had been stolen. 

Credit Card Fraud

  • Aug. 28, 12:41 p.m. A victim said someone had used her credit card number to make unauthorized online purchases between June 30 and July 30.

Shoplifting

  • Aug. 26, 10:20 p.m. The manager of Giant Food, 11200 Fairfax Blvd., said a man concealed two cans of beer in a bookbag and left the store without paying.
