UPDATE: Pedestrian Dies After Hit and Run on Fairfax Boulevard

Police are investigating a fatal hit and run in Fairfax City.

UPDATE (1:01 p.m.): The man who died as a result of a hit and run in Fairfax Saturday morning was James Ralph Davidson, according to City of Fairfax Police. 

A man died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Fairfax Boulevard early Saturday morning, according to the . 

The 62-year-old man of no fixed address was attempting to cross in the 9800 block of Fairfax Boulevard (near Draper Drive) at around 1:15 a.m. when a 2010 Jeep Compass drove into him. The driver did not stop.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have yet to release his identity.

Police say the vehicle was found by Arlington County Police. Officers are investigating.
