Fire Extinguished on Antietam Avenue

Firefighters respond to fire in Fairfax City

UPDATE (5:29 p.m.): Photos added from and Michael Underwood, co-founder of Northern Virginia Fire Buffs

(3:52 p.m.): A fire broke out on in the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity house at 10212 Antietam Avenue in Fairfax City this afternoon.

The blaze caught on contents in a room on the second floor of the single family residence at around 3 p.m. Monday. and firefighters responded and were able to put out the fire.

Fire Marshal is currently investigating the incident.

Firefighters put out a blaze on Antietam Avenue about an hour ago, according to City of Fairfax fire department Assistant Fire Chief Andrew Vita.

No one was home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries.
