Fairfax City Police Stop Robbery In Progress

Man was still on premises allegedly trying to make away with items in his vehicle.

Fairfax City police stopped what appeared to be a robbery in progress this week on Fairfax Boulevard.

At 5:34 p.m. Sunday, an employee of Soccer Pro Shop, at 10342 Fairfax Boulevard , reported a man had taken several items from the store — allegedly without paying for them — and placed them in his vehicle.

The employee reported the man was still in the area.

Police responded and stopped Ronni Jason Lopez, 20, of Burke.

He was charged with petit larceny and released on a summons.

All information was provided by the City of Fairfax Police Department. An arrest nor charges indicate a conviction.
