Emergency Exercise Thursday at George Mason University

Law enforcement and emergency response vehicles will be more visible on campus.

George Mason University will hold an emergency exercise on the Fairfax Campus on Thursday, May 29 to test and practice response procedures and communications plans.

The exercise will take place at the Recreation Athletic Complex (RAC) between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m., and law enforcement and emergency response vehicles will be more visible on campus during those hours.

University Police, the City of Fairfax Police and Fire Departments, George Mason’s Emergency Operations Group, Environmental Health and Safety officials and other members of the Mason administration will all participate.

Lot J will be blocked and open only to emergency response vehicles. Patriot Circle between Aquia Creek Lane to the entrance of Lot J will be closed for the duration of the exercise. Access to the Mason Inn will be available off of 123 and through Lot K. Mason Pond will remain accessible off of Patriot Circle in front of Mason Hall.
