Police: Man Became 'CIA Agent' to Stay Married to 2 Women

City of Fairfax police investigators aided NCIS in catching the man, who they say is not a CIA agent.

A man is in jail and charged with using fake credentials to not only pose as a CIA agent, but also to keep a second wife — which has led to a bigamy charge.

City of Fairfax police investigators were called on to assist the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) recently in their investigation of a man who had been flashing around counterfeit CIA credentials in order to carry out double identities - which investigators believe he did in order to stay simultaneously married to two women.

One of the man's two "identities," and his first wife, were based out of Williamsburg in James City County, VA, police said.

The second wife, and his second identity, were based in Fairfax City, police said, where the man obtained his second marriage license.

City of Fairfax Police obtained a warrant charging David Jin Lee, 26, of Williamsburg, with bigamy, forgery of a public document, and uttering a forged public document.

Lee was taken into custody on Aug. 14 and was held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
