Tyler William Reed had been missing since May 5, according to reports.
A body found in the Anacostia River has been identified as 25-year-old Tyler William Reed of Fairfax County, according to media reports, including ABC7.
Reed had attended a Washington Nationals game on May 5 and visited Justin's Cafe during a rain delay, according to Fairfax County Police. He was last seen leaving the restaurant.
The Washington Post notes that Reed was a server at Alexandria’s Evening Star Café and was attending classes at George Mason to finish his degree.
“I heard from a lot of people ‘I didn’t deserve a friend like him,’” his mother, Cheri Reed, told the paper.
