UPDATES: Bedroom Fire in Fairfax City Displaces 5 Children, 2 Adults

Neighbors are already stepping in to try and help the family.

UPDATES 6:12 P.M.: Fairfax County Fire and Rescue representatives told Patch that the home that caught on fire is a townhouse, and that the only part of the home affected was the bedroom in which the fire broke out.

The department's public information officer believes the family should only be temporarily displaced, as all other parts of the home appear undamaged.

Approximately 30 units from both Fairfax County and Fairfax City responded to the scene, and it took crews around 10 minutes to get the fire contained.

There were no injuries.
