Assault Arrest at Fairfax Baptist Church

Suspect was arrested when he returned to the scene, according to Fairfax City Police.

A man was arrested last week for an alleged assault at Fairfax Baptist Church, according to Fairfax City Police.

Alvin Clinton Hicks Jr., 57, of no fixed address, was charged with assault and battery.

At 3:22 p.m. March 11, officers responded to the church at 10818 First Street regarding a male subject striking another man during an altercation.

Hicks had left the scene by the time police arrived, but he returned to the church and was apprehended.

The 57-year-old victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment of his injuries, according to Fairfax Police.
